Kincare
Herbal Shampoo
Kincare herbal
shampoo is a product licensed in Israel for treatment and prevention
of head lice. In the UK no such licence has been sought for or
granted, due to the financial costs of seeking such approval,
however the product is seemingly no less effective in spite of that!
You will not find any claims or reference to head lice on the
packaging for these reasons.
Kincare Herbal
Shampoo is a mixture of extracts of herbal products, blended in such
a way to be thought to reduce or eliminate head lice by
’desiccation’ i.e. drying out the lice on the head, also the
extracts act as deterrent to re-infestation.
I can only give my
personal opinion of the product based upon usage in my family and
feedback from my own local customers, to whom I have been selling
this product for over 5 years. They come back for more! I can not,
however, make claims that can not be substantiated under UK law:
I have 6 children,
with a 16 year age gap from oldest to youngest. In my early days,
i.e. for 25 out of the last 30 years, my children have suffered, as
have most, from repeated ‘attacks’ of head lice. We have used all
the traditional medications, and some less traditional, with a
greater or lesser degree of success. Many of the products have been
potent pesticides which, ultimately, get absorbed in small amounts
through the scalp into the body. Increasingly over the years
resistance has been built up by the lice to these products.
When I was
introduced to this product I was sceptical but, nevertheless, in
desperation, gave it a try! It was like a door opening to a new
life! My children’s level of recurrence of head lice dropped
dramatically, no more smelly alcohol preparations that stank the
house out, and no problems with ‘acceptance’ of usage of the product
by my children. My wife and I tended to put it onto the scalp, as a
shampoo, when my children bathed, allowing it to stay in the hair
for 15 minutes, nightly at first for 3 nights, then twice weekly,
whilst they played, washing it out as my children got out of the
bath, or sooner if they wanted to stay in for longer. In short, it
worked very well, not perfectly, but what does!
The price of the
bottle is for 250ml, which is roughly 30 applications, very good
value for money. Most products cost similar amounts for only one to
three treatments. If you purchase one bottle, you haven’t lost a
fortune; you can assess the claims of my own experience. If you find
that it doesn’t work for your children then you have an expensive
bottle of herbal shampoo. If it does work, you have an opening to a
less stressful way of life until your children grow through the
‘head lice’ age.
