Nebulisers are delivery
systems that use air to provide a carrier for medication, like
steroids and antibiotics or sometimes saline.
Ultrasonic nebulisers vibrate the medication to produce a fine
mist, rather like steam, but at a comfortable temperature for
inhalation.
The
other systems are piston driven, hence noisier than ultrasonic
Nebulisers are
NOT oxygen concentrators (ie machines concentrating the
amount of oxygn in inhaled air.) Instead, nebulisers are always
used with medication, which may be something as simple
as saline solution. Nebuliser medications
(except saline) cannot be purchased without prescription in the UK
are prescribed by a medical practitioner.
There are some alternative treatments which use nebulisers, but use of
these preparations must be discussed with your practitioner.

number of different types of Nebuliser both to individuals and to Health
Care facilities.
Repairs or
servicing costs
start from £18.50 + parts. However, the low cost of
a new machine may make repairs uneconomical. Please phone to
discuss repairs before sending us your machine.

if it is for your personal use. Under the VAT exemption
regulations, nebulisers can be sold free of VAT only to individuals
for personal medical use.

Because of VAT regulations, orders for more than
one machine may be queried, as will orders for a business
address. We assume that people generally only need one
machine.
